700,000 Miles And Counting

An American car owner revealed how he managed to clock up over 700,000 miles in his 1967 Mercury Cougar, which he had owned since the vehicle was just a year old.

The car travelled 718,915 miles — much of it driven by the owner himself. That's enough miles to take him to the moon three times. During its long life the car went through six engines, but many of the other parts remained original.
