Remapping, or ‘chip tuning’ as it is often known, releases the true potential of the manufacturer’s engine. Manufacturers intentionally restrict the output of an engine for many reasons, such as leaving a large margin of error to cater for owners who use substandard oil or who do not adhere to the service schedule, or to place the vehicle into a certain class. An ECU remapping service releases that potential, normally via the OBD socket, leaving no trace that a remap has been carried out.
At Dash Wizard we use the most up-to-date ECU remapping equipment, which means there is no need to remove or solder anything to the ECU.
